Colfax Animal Hospital
When Dr. Nikki and Dr. Austin Prichard purchased Colfax Animal Hospital, they knew they needed a new logo and a way to spread the word about their ownership, but they weren’t sure where to begin. I guided them through a thorough discovery process to uncover the heart of their brand: who they are, who their clients are, their goals, and their vision for the next five years and beyond.
The Colfax Animal Hospital logo needed to balance heritage and modernity, honoring the trusted legacy of the past owner while reflecting the warmth and care of a family-owned practice. At the same time, it had to feel fresh and approachable, showcasing the new generation’s updated approach to medicine without appearing overly corporate or sterile.
This clarity became the foundation for a visual identity that marries trustworthiness with clean, modern design positioning Colfax Animal Hospital to serve longtime community members while also attracting new families and pet owners from surrounding areas.

C for Colfax
Pulling in Colfax’s Norwegian roots and small town feel with the Scandinavian barn quilts. It’s common for a farm or family to have their own unique barn quilt design, you see them hanging on barns all over Colfax. We decided to lean in to that and use it as inspiration for the logo icon. A perfect mix of local, medical, and trustworthiness we were trying to capture.

Website
After we wrapped up the branding, we went right into designing the website. We built out a customized Squarespace site that shows off the new brand, tells the new owners story, as well as all the services they offer. To capture the compassion and connection they show every animal we creative directed a photoshoot with the talented Trenity White Photography to have professional photos to use throughout the site. This helps the site stay on brand, feeling warm, inviting, and family owned. They also stand out with showing the team in the actual practice which helps steer clear of the steril, corporate vibe we dont want if we used stock photos like a lot of other vet websites.
